Christmas Letter 2011
AVision of hope for our time
The financial crisis in Europe in recent months has
highlighted the fragility of life as we know it.
Unfettered capitalism has brought about a loss of
freedom and many peoples’ lives are now restricted by debt and unemployment. Many are acknowledging we need a new and sustainable future - something secure and with integrity for today’s children to inherit.
Fragility reveals vulnerability. It is when we are open and eager for a new way of living that we can be
surprised. God the creator is full of surprises! Not least when came to live among us as a newborn,
and totally dependent baby—Jesus.
In the midst of many trials we can still dream dreams.
God goes ahead in everything and waits patiently for us to discover again his infinite love and goodness.
God’s fingerprints are everywhere!
I invite you most warmly to join us at any of our
Christmas services, and wish you a very
Happy Christmas
